Our Policies
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Payment: Upon your arrival at the Cairns Queenslander any outstanding amount payable will be charged. Photo i.d will be required to be shown to our receptionist. At check-in, full payment will be processed from your credit or bank debit card and held as booking security. Credit Cards Accepted / *Amex / MasterCard / Visa in Australian Dollars. *Surcharge of 2% applies to Amex. Important Please Note: Cash is not accepted for your accommodation room nights payment, please present a valid Credit or Bank Debit Card .
Number of room guests: If your room reservation is for example two adults as confirmed in writing, no additional persons are allowed to stay within this room. If you wish another person to stay within your room you must notify Cairns Queenslander reception staff, additional bedding costs will apply (subject to extra bedding availability and maximum guests allowed room configuration constraints).
Room Cancellation Policy Direct bookings: Bookings cancelled with more than 24 hours notice do not incur a booking cancellation fee. If your booking is cancelled within 24 hours of date of arrival you will be charged 1 (one) room night cancellation fee.
Bookings made via Travel Agent – Cancellation : If you made a room reservation via external travel agency i.e. Booking.com or Expedia etc you must contact your booking agent to advise cancellation. Do not call the Cairns Queenslander as you will be instructed to contact your booking agent as your travel agent must officially cancel your booking. The Cairns Queenslander cannot cancel your booking without this travel agent notification of reservation cancellation.
Damage deposit of AUD $150 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card subject to an inspection of the property.
Room check-in time from 2pm onwards (Reception is open & manned 24 hours).
Room check-out time no later than 10am.
Housekeeping room refresh tidy includes: waste bags removed, toiletries tea & coffee replenished. Room tidy does not occur on Sundays. Full service including bed linen changed for stays 6 consecutive days or more.
Room Security: Safety Deposit Boxes are available at reception free of charge. Please ensure room doors and windows are locked at all times, particularly your balcony door.
Check-In & Check-Out
Check in time is from 2:00pm on the day of arrival.
Check-out time is latest 10:00am on the day of departure.
Luggage can be stored for you by our friendly reception staff. Courtesy shower & change facilities are available for your use.
NB: For early morning flight arrivals, please book your room for the day before to secure an early check in.
Children of any age are welcome
Please note that children up to the age of 12 years of age stay free using the room existing bedding and sharing the room with adults.
Child Cot Hire Cots are subject to availability and must be pre-booked. $10 per night cot hire fee applies. Alternatively contact a Cairns local baby hire company that will deliver a cot to the hotel on the day of your arrival and collect when you depart.
No Pets Allowed policy
Strictly No pets are allowed onto the property premises, including within hotel public areas & car-parks. There are several other hotels in Cairns that do accept pets, please contact one of those properties that will cater for your specific needs.
Strict ‘Zero Tolerence’ No Party Policy!
We respect all our guests’ right to quiet and peaceful enjoyment whilst accommodated at the Cairns Queenslander Hotel & Apartments, therefore we ask all guests to control their noise levels when inside the hotel, their apartment or hotel room or talking loudly along internal walkway corridors. No Party Policy Explained: you will be asked to leave the hotel immediately, no accommodation refund will occur if any guest is causing a disturbance and investigated by our hotel duty staff, management or hotel security.
24hr Video Surveillance/Security :
24 hours High Definition CCTV surveillance cameras are in operation 24 hours at the Cairns Queenslander Hotel & Apartments. Any suspicious behavior CCTV footage will be shared with Queensland Police.
