Full-Time Hotel Receptionist
We are seeking a professional, friendly and reliable Full-Time Hotel Receptionist to join our front
office team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with people and takes
pride in delivering excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities
– Welcoming guests and acting as the first point of contact
– Managing check-ins, check-outs and reservations
– Handling payments, cash and basic accounts
– Responding to guest enquiries and resolving issues professionally
– Maintaining accurate records using the Property Management System (PMS)
– Liaising with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations
About You
– Previous experience in hotel reception or customer service (preferred)
– Excellent communication and customer service skills
– Well-presented, organised and dependable
– Competent with computer programs and booking systems
– Available to work a rotating full-time roster, including weekends and public holidays
– Positive attitude with strong attention to detail, multilingual skills will be highly regarded due to our diverse guest base.

Night Auditor – Upcoming Opportunity
The Cairns Queenslander Hotel and Apartments will soon have an opportunity available for an experienced Night Auditor to join our team. This is a key role supporting the smooth operation of the hotel during overnight hours.
Reporting directly to the Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Completing nightly audits of daily hotel operations and performing general reception duties with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Delivering exceptional customer service during your shift, including guest check-in and check-out, handling telephone calls, managing reservation enquiries, and responding to guest requests
- Building and maintaining positive, professional relationships with guests
- Ensuring clear and effective communication, including thorough handovers at the beginning and end of each shift
- Preparing reports accurately and efficiently
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a similar role or environment and be comfortable working independently. You will take pride in your work, have excellent attention to detail, and be committed to achieving positive outcomes for both guests and the business.
Availability is required for 4 night shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday | 9:00pm – 7:00am
